FIA Central Asia Drifting Cup 2026
25–27 September · Sokol International Circuit, Almaty
The FIA Central Asia Drifting Cup is the official zonal round of the FIA Drifting Cup. The tournament brings together the region's strongest drivers and runs under the sanction of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), following a single worldwide set of regulations.
The competition takes place at the certified Sokol International Circuit near Almaty. Winners earn ranking points and the right to represent Central Asia at the next level of the FIA's global drifting structure.
Japan, Latvia and Greece have hosted events at this level before — now it's Kazakhstan's turn. For the first time in the region's history, spectators will see world-standard drifting live: three days of controlled slides, tyre smoke and turbocharged engines in the foothills of the Zailiysky Alatau.
In qualifying, judges score solo runs on four criteria — line, angle, style and speed. The top sixteen drivers advance to knockout tandem battles, where two cars run side by side within centimetres of each other, swapping lead and chase roles. This is where the first champion in the cup's history will be decided.
A Pit Lane + Paddock ticket opens access to the garage area — a chance to see the drift cars up close, watch the mechanics work between runs and meet the drivers.
Ticket prices rise every three weeks. The Weekend Pass covers all three days and costs less than three single-day tickets.
The circuit is located outside the city, on the Almaty–Astana highway. An organised shuttle runs on each day of the event and is easiest to book together with your entry ticket.
